Apple kept its customers bemused throughout last year by upholding the promise of a white iPhone 4 and it seems that Samsung has taken cue from the Cupertino-giant and is due to follow the same formula.

Currently leaked photographs of an all-white SamsungGalaxy S2 Android phone have been doing rounds on the web sphere. A UK-based online retailer Clove started the rumor when it posted on its blog, a piece stating that Samsung Galaxy S II 16GB will be available on its store from Aug.15.

If the rumor comes true, then Apple will have more fodder to substantiate its patent lawsuit it filed against Samsung, accusing it of "slavishly copying" its iPhone,iPad and iPod design.

Apple had first announced the existence of a white iPhone 4 in June 2010. However, due to manufacturing complexities associated with making a white iPhone, Apple missed two deadlines. Finally Apple released the white iPhone 4 model in April 2011.

The timing of the report is perfect as it comes just before the superphone from Samsung hits the U.S. market. Galaxy S 2 set a new milestone as it recorded sales of 5 million units in 85 days. The phone is touted to counter iPhone's threat. Samsung Galaxy S II is an ultra-thin Android phone. It weighs a mere 4oz and is 0.33-inch thick. It is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core chipset and offers 1GB RAM and 16/32GB internal memory. It runs on Android 2.3 or Gingerbread juice and comes fitted with an 8MP rear-facing and 2MP front-facing camera. It offers 1080p video capture capability.
